The Power of Powers of Attorney

Picture

A Power of Attorney allows you to pick someone YOU TRUST to handle your affairs if you cannot do so for yourself.  It gives you peace of mind that in case of emergency someone you choose will have the authority to act for you.

There are generally four types of power of attorney documents used in the State of Louisiana:
  • Financial - which covers all financial transactions related to an individual's assets and business dealings
  • Health Care - which allows someone to make medical decisions on your behalf in the event you cannot make those decisions for yourself
  • Vehicle - which allows someone to handle the sale of your vehicle, as well as the titling and registration proceedings at the Office of Motor Vehicles
  • Tax - which allows someone (usually a CPA) to handle all your State tax filings.

Remember, a Louisiana notary can prepare these documents to your specifications while at the same time adhering to Louisiana law.

Now, I know.  Nobody ever wants to discuss the topic of "just in CASE something happens to me . . ."  But wouldn't you feel better knowing that you had it and DIDN'T need it, rather than needing it and NOT having it.
Just a little something to make you think.

A Louisiana notary has studied ad nauseum concerning the craft of preparing documents and all legal ramifications contained therein.  We are not JUST SIGNING AND SEALING a document, as in the other 49 states of this great country.

This is a serious oath that we have taken, one that we don't take lightly and one that we are proud of bear.
