Do I have to register with SAM to do business with the federal government?
Yes. Registering in SAM lets government entities know that you are interested in doing business with the government, inputs your company's information on government data bases, and provides the ability to accept payment from the government. The United States Federal Government is the world's largest purchaser of goods and services, spending over $500 billion annually. Legislation such as the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act and the Small Business Act help to create opportunities for businesses to complete for federal contracts. The Federal Government is required to set aside 23% of all contracting dollars exclusively for small businesses.

RENEWALSIf you business or nonprofit organization has already registered with SAM but needs assistance with the annual renewals/updates, please contact us to assist with properly updating the system to reflect the most current information regarding your business and/or nonprofit organization.

Online Registration
Please fill out the online registration form to begin the process of getting registered to do business with the federal government. Once the form is filled out, a confirmation page will display and your business will be contacted by a business specialist to complete your business registration. Contact will occur within two business days of your application being submitted. The whole process should be complete within ten days from the date of the online application.
